Colombians have slowly lost their faith in private companies and their trust in the present methods of giving back to the community. We had to do something, we knew we had to change the way people thought, but most importantly, the way people acted, and conventional advertisement didn’t make the cut. But art on the other hand, has a completely different effect on people’s ways of thinking and acting. It connects with one’s senses, body and mind. It can make you feel, and the power of feeling may inspire thought, engagement and action. During ARTBO, the most important art festival in Bogota, we presented “The Face of a Nation” and it was completely anonymous. The artwork transformed over time, at first it was a single pane of glass with a large translucent blob painted on top of it. Over time more glass panes were added, the blobs started to come together, making a shape, a face. *Video password: nationexito |
